I have not forgotten about my city. I’ve always wanted to host my own huge back to school event but it’s a challenge to do with little ole me. I bought 11 backpacks, a couple pairs of socks, and kids underwear to kickoff this effort. Would you help me fill these backpacks? I visited Mullanphy Investigative Learning Center last year where they informed me of their need as some students come to school without basic necessities. That reminded me of some kids I saw growing up that would come to school with a plastic Aldi’s Bag to keep their stuff in cause they didn’t have backpacks or that one classmate that never had a pencil. If you’d like to help, check out my video for details, share this post, and visit Target.com The goal is for all items to be delivered to the school by July 31, in time before school starts.
If you’d like to give more like clothes, underwear, paper towels, kleenex, or more, please email me firstname.lastname@example.org to get the mailing information specifically. Shout out to Kate Stewart of SLPS and Principal Kelli Casper for providing opportunity and for all they do for our city’s students.
