Welcome to Yo! Mama's World

About Me

Hi! I’m Kimesha (that’s Kim-EE-shuh, as you can imagine how often it’s mispronounced). Most people who are close to me know me as Mesha or MeMe, and in the dance world as well as Facebook, I’m known as K-Boogie. On other social platforms, you can find me as Yo! Mama Mesh. I was born & raised in St. Louis, Missouri but currently a resident of Southern California. I am married to my college sweetheart, Mike, and we are the proud parents of FOUR beautiful children (Mariah, Michael, Marshall, & Miles). This is the first year (2024) that we have each child in a different school (high schooler, middle schooler, elem schooler, and preschooler), so ask me anything lol.

I am a Registered Nurse by trade, founder/CEO of Yo! Mama's World LLC, and proud children’s book author of 'Santa Meets the Tooth Fairy'. You may have seen my name & face appear on ABC7, Live with Kelly and Ryan, the KSDK hit show, Show Me St. Louis, Let's Make A Deal (2014), co-host of the monthly Instagram Live author-inspired segment called AuTHorapy, Westfield Culver City Mall, in a textbook, and even video appearances for a California school district.

About Yo! Mama's World

Yo has many meanings and interpretations, depending on what part of the world you’re from. It can mean “I” in referring to yourself, a short version of “Your”, or a more urban reference of saying “hey”. I like to reference it in saying, "Hey, I'm a mom and I see you. I welcome you into my world and let's ride through this journey together." So if you see me in public or are checking out my latest post on social media, feel free to say "Yo!" or "Hey Mama Mesh!".

Yo! Mama's World is a platform that's created to inspire everyone to enjoy life's experiences, to share helpful tips to apply to our everyday lives, to provide relatable (and laughable) content to parents, and a little retail therapy on the side. You'll find funny moments, links to video recipes (subscribe to the Yo! Mama Mesh YouTube channel for more), DIY/craft activity ideas, tips for health & wellness, and a page fully dedicated to my book for teachers and students to enjoy.

I have an old soul, a big heart, and lots of wisdom & creativity to share.

So in the words of a skit from the hit TV show In Living Color, "Let's talk about yo' mama!"

Thanks for stopping by and hope you can stay a while. Grab your cup as I have more warm tea to spill :)
