My Birthday & the Powerball

ree

Yo! Oh how I’ve missed talking to you all. I had a great birthday weekend especially since it was a 3-day weekend (Labor Day weekend). Shoutout to everyone who sent me birthday wishes and hugs to those who sent gifts. I’m grateful that you thought of me. The same weekend was Mariah’s 15th birthday as well so we kicked off Saturday going to the Hot Wheels Monster Truck show. Now Mariah thought it was strange for me to want to go, but for one, I’d always wanted to go see Monster Trucks and what better opportunity to see them than with my own kids. And two, all of my family & friends are either out of town or unavailable to boogie with me so this bday is for the kids. The highlights were the surprise dragon car and the incredible bike stunts. The drawbacks were that it was super loud (I didn’t get the memo to bring earplugs) and I thought I saw on the advertisement that there was mud which there was none.

Fast forwarding to the evening before my birthday, Mike (hubby) wanted in on the huge Powerball amount so I joined him at the grocery store. I had never seen the new machines before so while he’s a master at selecting his numbers and printing his ticket, I’m at the machine like an 80-year old senior with a new computer like “how do I work this thing?” I hadn’t played the lottery in years (prob a decade) as I’m not one to “waste my money” but I decided to do it for fun to make my birthday weekend more interesting. Plus, I have watched so many episodes nightly of “My Lottery Dream Home”, I was a little inspired to press my luck. As the ticket printed out, I held it in the air and said “this is a winner” then said a little prayer over it, feeling confident that I would win something. I didn’t check my ticket until the next day which would be my BIRTHDAY!! Do you think I won? If so, how much? Well, check out this video and you’ll have to watch it til the end to find out the results!

Do you play the lottery?
